Megha Srivastava
Megha Srivastava is a PhD student in the Computer Science department working on Artificial Intelligence. She has worked on a broad range of topics related to building more safe and reliable forms of human-AI interaction, from leveraging distributionally robust optimization to ensure machine learning models perform equally across different demographics to analyzing the types of security vulnerabilities users may introduce when assisted by AI code generation tools such as GitHub Copilot. Megha is excited about developing a stronger understanding of the different ways the public may use (and mis-use) recent advances in AI (e.g. ChatGPT), and working towards building safeguards not only on the technical end, but also through policy and educational initiatives to improve general public awareness and knowledge of these technologies.
