Katherine Crandell

Katherine Crandell, from Kalamazoo, Michigan, is a Senior at Stanford, majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Russian Studies. At Stanford, she has been able to delve into her interests in the intersection of technology and public policy, discovering a passion for the subfield of computational propaganda. Next fall, she will attend graduate school, specializing in Technology Policy and continuing her research. As a WINS scholar, her research will focus on the impact of new AI/ML technologies on women. In her free time, Katherine enjoys hiking in the Bay Area, baking, and playing video games.
