Catarina Buchatskiy

Catarina Buchatskiy is a senior studying International Security and minoring in Military History at Stanford. She's the co-founder of the Shadows Project, whose pioneering work on information operations and national identity has caught global attention. She’s research assistant to Dr. Amy Zegart at the Hoover Institution, and spent last summer in Tallinn, Estonia researching Air Force strategy in the war in Ukraine. Originally from Kyiv, Ukraine, Catarina's passionate about harnessing emerging defense technologies as well as innovative solutions to keep her nation safe, both on the frontlines and beyond.
