Discussion on Indo-Pacific with DAS Mark Lambert

On January 24th, the Gordian Knot Center for National Security Innovation hosted Mark Lambert, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs, for a roundtable discussion at Stanford University.

The discussion focused on how to extend the GKC’s entrepreneurial methodology to help “hack” national security policy issues as well as technology problems. DAS Lambert expressed particular interest in Project Myoushu, in which a team of GKC volunteers has been making an impact in Southeast Asia by “lighting up the gray zone” using commercially available maritime data to deter aggression and build resilience among nations bordering the South China Sea.
