Chief of Naval Operations Visits Stanford University
Admiral Mike Gilday visted Stanford for better insight into Sillicon Valley's defense technology ecosystem
The Gordian Knot Center welcome United States Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) Admiral Mike Gilday to Stanford University. During his visit, Center Director Dr. Joesph Felter provided background into the academic initiatives like Hacking 4 Defense, and sharing examples of successful student projects, such as Vannevar Labs from 2019, and Agrippa from 2020. This was followed by a roundtable discussion on artificial intelligence, autonomy, and the future of Naval power, which featured senior leaders from industry, technology, academic, and finance.
